Emergencies & Urgent Care

The decision to treat a patient as an emergency or send them directly to an emergency facility is based on many factors, including but not limited to the type of injury, the patient's current medical condition, potential for unknown medical complications, the need for 24-hour aftercare as well as our existing patient load, staffing and equipment.  â€‹

We do our very best to see every patient with urgent care needs, very often re-arranging the schedule by asking clients with healthy pets to reschedule and keeping our doctors and staff beyond their scheduled hours, so that all pets in our facility receive our best care.

Sending a patient to an ER is always a difficult decision only eased by knowing that the medical welfare of the pet is our #1 priority.  Marshall Veterinary Clinic operates from the core promise within the Hippocratic Oath to "first do no harm."  We turn ourselves inside out to help clients and patients in need, and if we can not accomplish these things ourselves, we find other resources who can.
